After your diagnostic assessment for dyslexia / Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLDs) has taken place, the data collected will be analysed so as to identify your profile of strengths, weaknesses and compensating strategies.
Following this analysis of data, a comprehensive diagnostic report will be drafted. You will receive your diagnostic assessment report via email within two weeks and this copy will be suitable for most purposes. A paper copy will be sent to you if specifically requested it.
Your assessment will include: a review of your educational and occupational history; a comprehensive assessment of your literacy, cognitive and underlying abilities; an evaluation of your strengths and coping strategies; relevant recommendations for further examinations and assessments; and some general advice for support.
Once you have received your report, if there is anything that you are unsure about and/or you would like to ask or discuss, you will be very welcome to contact us.
Regarding diagnostic report for DSA purposes, please be aware that the support recommended in the report is only a series of recommendations to your higher education institution and funding body. Although these institutions may have obligation to support you in your studies, they may not agree with all the recommendations.
