At Dyslexia Learning and Development we cater for individuals with Specific Learning Difficulties (also referred to as Specific Learning Differences or SpLDs), and we provide:

    • Diagnostic assessments of dyslexia / SpLDs and

    • One-to-one tutorial support and coaching

We are based in central London and we undertake diagnostic assessments for all individuals, including learners in Higher Education who may have access to the Disabled Students' Allowance (DSA). The DSA provides additional funding for learning support, examination concessions and study aids, such as hardware and software. Diagnostic assessments provide essential evidence for access to the DSA.

We also conduct assessment for those who are in employment and, through Access to Work, can access additional support and funding for hardware and software in the workplace.

Additionally, we provide diagnostic assessments for those individuals who wish to understand their learning strengths and potential.

Our one-to-one sessions are designed to develop key skills that help individuals to become more successful in their study and work. For students in higher education, one-to-one sessions are usually funded by the DSA (Dyslexia Learning and Development was officially audited by the DSA Quality Assurance Group and is now registered on the on the SFE NMH - Non Medical Helper - Supplier List). For people in employment these one-to-one sessions are funded by Access to Work grants.

We also carry out tests and evaluations of aptitude for modern / foreign language learning which reveal a great deal about an individual’s aptitude for general learning potential, and overall level of underlying ability and memory skills.

We are passionate about understanding how people learn best and about ensuring that individuals with SpLDs, who learn differently, are enabled to fulfill their potential, both in education and in the workplace. We have a particular interest in learners who speak English as an additional language and have SpLDs such as dyslexia and/or dyspraxia.

At Dyslexia Learning and Development, we take a holistic approach to individuals’ learning needs and focus on their skills and abilities. So, for instance, if you have dyslexia or dyspraxia, we are aware that these do not just affect your reading and writing, but they also impact upon your daily life, education and employment, particularly in times of transition and change. Knowing your strengths, and gradually developing suitable coping strategies, will enable you to manage your difficulties, unleash your talent and fulfill your potential.
